Corporate Vice President, Data Analytics
As McDonald’s first Chief Data Officer, Ameet is helping to define and infuse data across the global enterprise. He is creating the roadmap to identify the technology, team, process and culture change required for enabling enterprise data transformation and establish best-in-class processes for data strategy and governance and evangelizing these changes throughout McDonald’s.
Most recently, Ameet was the Chief Data & Analytics Officer for SunTrust Banks, Inc. In this role, he led the Enterprise Data & Analytics office, with responsibility for driving the strategic vision and effective deployment of data and business intelligence capabilities to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and enable strategic business growth.
Prior to Ameet’s Chief Data & Analytics Officer role, he served as the Corporate Functions Business Information Officer for SunTrust, with responsibility for executing the enterprise data governance strategy and providing business reporting and select operational support for all corporate functions. In addition, Ameet served as the Chief Technology Officer for Business Intelligence and the Bank’s Corporate Functions, including support of Risk, Finance, and Human Resources.
Ameet earned an MBA in Marketing from Georgia State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Georgia. Ameet is a member of the Board of Advisors for Dalco, Inc., the Sapience Advisory Board, the CIS Board of Advisors for the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University, the Advisory Council for Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, and the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business Alumni Board.
Ameet’s professional awards and recognition include Oracle’s North American Big Data Leader of the Year (2016), the Technology Association of Georgia’s Creative Innovation Award for Analytics (2017) and the Celent Model Bank Award for Data Infrastructure Modernization (2018).
