Ben Sabloff, EVP- Head of Enterprise Analytics, KeyBank
Ben Sabloff is responsible for analytics, modeling and internal business strategy consulting across the bank, supporting among many areas of the bank, the Commercial, Consumer and Digital efforts, providing analytics, strategy, reporting and analysis. As an accomplished entrepreneur and executive having led credit risk, business strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and business line P&L’s at Fortune 500 banks and other specialty lenders Ben is recognized throughout the financial services industry as a leader who is passionate about delivering outsized returns.
Prior to joining KeyBank, Ben was the Founder, Managing Partner, and Chief Executive Officer of AQN Strategies (Arbitria Quum Notitia, LLC), a leading boutique financial services consulting firm, as well as a founding board member of Lingua Franca Search (LF Search), a boutique executive search firm also focused on financial services. Leading up to the formation of AQN, Ben noticed that there was a gap in the current financial services consulting space – one which existed between the more strategic firms, and firms that were heavily focused on modeling and data science. Ben recognized that the market needed a player who could bridge this gap – a firm that could teach executives to think like analysts, and analysts to think like executives. Since then, AQN has worked with over 40 of the world’s leading financial services companies, delivered hundreds of millions of dollars in value to clients.
Ben’s banking career began with over thirteen years of experience with Capital One, where he accumulated a deep base of experience in consumer lending. Ben spent several years each in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, business development, and business line P&L ownership roles during the early growth years of Capital One. The combination of these experiences has enabled Ben to bring a practitioner’s approach to business problems. Upon leaving Capital One, Ben began pursuit of his first entrepreneurial venture and founded a start-up, on-demand energy company that used cutting edge data and analytics to meet the needs of its customers around the U.S. The company was sold to AmeriGas in 2018.
Ben holds an MBA from Stanford Business School and a Bachelor of Science dual degrees in both Accounting and Finance. Ben holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and has held numerous volunteer leadership positions.
