DR. WOOYOUNG CHUNG, CO-DIRECTOR FOR RESEARCH & TRAINING, MIT CDOIQ PROGRAM
Dr. WooYoung Chung currently serves as Co-Director for Research & Teaching in the Chief Data Officer and Information Quality (CDOIQ) Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In this capacity, working with the CDOIQ research team, he is developing and conducting several research projects in the program including defining the role of CDOs, the framework of Data Washing Machine (DWM), and the Data-Enterprise Strategic Alignment Framework. He is also working with Dr. Richard Wang to revise and update the acclaimed Dr. Wang’s book, The Workbook for Chief Data Officers (“CDO Workbook“).
Dr. Chung has over 20 years of teaching experience in higher education. Before joining the MIT CDOIQ Program, Dr. Chung served as a faculty member in several nationally recognized MBA and graduate programs at research universities such as Case Western Reserve University and Boston University. He is a seasoned expert in executive education for IT executives and managers. Throughout his career, he has consulted and collaborated with many Fortune-500 companies, other leading organizations, and government agencies. Dr. Chung received his Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Information Systems from Boston University. He also received MBA and MS in Information Systems from Boston University.
