Tom Dunlap, Group Chief Data Officer, Head of Enterprise Data Governance, London Stock Exchange Group
Tom Dunlap is the Group Chief Data Officer (CDO) and Head of Enterprise Data Governance of the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG). Tom is responsible for developing and leading LSEG’s data governance strategy, overseeing a global team across multiple sites, engaging with key clients, and working collaboratively across business, operations and technology areas to drive future growth underpinned by a foundational framework that also includes data insight and analysis, records management, and data program management capabilities. Tom is based in the Fort Mill, South Carolina office, where he is the site lead. He joined LSEG in 2018.
Tom has over 30 years of financial services industry experience across a range of data management and operations leadership roles. Prior to LSEG, he was a senior consultant and advisor to Raymond James Financial and fintech company Lingotek. Tom spent 18 years with Goldman Sachs in a variety of operations and data leadership roles, including Managing Director of operations and global head of the firm’s enterprise data strategy and reference data operations. In addition, he held the role of Vice President for Citibank’s Worldwide Securities Services Division.
Tom is a member of the Financial Research Advisory Committee of the US Treasury Department’s Office of Financial Research, on the Board of Directors of the Enterprise Data Management Council, and the CDO Ambassador for South Carolina.
